sun, rain, picnic, laundry, doula studies, friends, work...

I really am in love with daily life.  Sometimes it can be monotonous, sometimes I feel like I'm stuck in a rut.  Sometimes I really get the urge to travel (I also happen to be in love with traveling).  But overall, the little everyday things are my best friends.  Today I have enjoyed both rain rustling and splashing on the leaves of the trees and gorgeous sunshine with a strong breeze blowing through the house here at work.  I'm so thankful for the little blessings.

The past week or two has been full of doula studies, helping my brother & sister-in-love rip apart and start putting back together the house they just bought, visiting with relatives & friends from out of town, a day trip to the Milwaukee Museum, work, a huge Memorial Day picnic, chats with friends, lots of driving, and on and on the list goes.  I am often just amazed at how crazy life can be when only "normal" life is happening.  I've been trying so hard this year to slooow down and take time to notice and enjoy the gifts, blessings, and FUN in everyday life.

It is incredible to me how God opens and closes doors.  I have been working to complete my doula certification for three years now.  Due to a wide variety of circumstances, there have been many months at a time when I've had nothing doula related going on.  Those have been discouraging times.  Recently God has begun opening the doors back up again and I am so. excited.  Hopefully I can share more in the coming months. :)

You maybe have noticed the blog looks way different than it did this morning.  I'm working on making it a bit more organized and fun.  Still tons to do but it's a start.  Happy last day of May!
