I have been interested in pregnancy, birth, and newborns since I was eleven-years-old.  God opened the doors for me to take a college course to be a certified doula when I was eighteen.  I am so excited to see where He'll take this venture I've been on the past few years.  I absolutely LOVE being a doula!

As a doula/labor support professional, I provide emotional, informational, physical, and spiritual support during pregnancy, labor & delivery, and postpartum.  I am not a medical professional, thus I don't provide any form of medical services.  I'm an extra pair of knowledgeable hands, providing continuos care throughout labor, supporting fathers and partners so that they can focus on nurturing and caring.  I work in hospitals and at home, helping to create positive birth memories, and suggesting comfort measures during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.  Statistics show tremendous positive benefits from having labor support (up to 50% reduced c-sections, 25% shorter labor, 60% reduction in epidural requests, decreased postpartum depression, increased successful breastfeeding, etc.).

One of the precious babies I've been privileged to help bring into this world.
